O modesto chafariz da Ulgueira teve a sua fundação no século XVIII. No espaldar de empena boleada do chafariz destaca-se, apenas, a possante bica que vaza no tanque de pedra e uma pequena lápide onde, desenvolvidas as abreviaturas, se lê: Jesus, Maria, José. Este chafariz mandou fazer José Nunes Correia na data de 1766. É Festeiro (da) Senhora da Conceição da Ulgueira. Padre Nosso e Avé Maria.

Heritage in the Special Protection Site of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra
The unimposing fountain of Ulgueira was built in the 18th century. The only items of note on the fountain’s curved gable is the imposing spout that pours into the stone tank and a small engraved stone plaque which when deciphered, reads: Jesus, Mary, Joseph. This fountain was commissioned by José Nunes Correia in 1766, the organiser of the Festival of Our Lady of the Conception of Ulgueira. Our Father and Ave Maria.
