Património na Zona Especial de Proteção da Paisagem Cultural de Sintra
A mais antiga adega da região, delimita o lado sul do largo principal de Almoçageme. Trata-se da adega Viúva Gomes, fundada em 1808. O edifício vernáculo hoje existente será, porém, será mais recente. De planta longitudinal, alonga-se para além do largo, onde subsiste um cais de embarque de barris do afamado “Vinho de Colares”.
De um só piso e com ritmada fenestração alteada como é comum nas adegas, destaca-se, ao centro, um corpo elevado de acentuada verticalidade constituindo um primeiro andar, ao qual se acede por escadeado duplo com anteparas em ferro forjado, encontrando-se a fachada nesta zona integralmente forrada com azulejos de estampilha industriais, em tom verde. O frontão recortado e pontuado por três plintos pintados de vermelhão termina em voluteado simples na zona da cornija, abrem-se, ao centro, duas em cartelas onde correm as seguintes legendas: 1808. E: Armazéns de Vinhos Viúva Gomes. Sob o frontão permanece outra inscrição: Viúva Gomes.

The Viúva Gomes wine cellar, at the southern edge of the main square in Almoçageme was founded in 1898 and is the oldest wine cellar in the region. The vernacular building of today is, however, more recent. Its longitudinal design extends beyond the square, which still has a loading platform for barrels of the famous "Colares” wine.
Comprising a single floor interspersed by high windows as is usually the case with wine cellars, it also has a central part comprising a steep vertical first floor wing, which is accessed by an imperial staircase with wrought iron balusters. The whole of the façade, in this area, is lined with green, industrially manufactured tiles. The pediment with its three plinths painted in vermilion ends in a simple volute in the area of the cornice. Its central section displays two cartouches bearing the following inscriptions: 1808. E: Warehouse of Viúva Gomes Wines. Another inscription on the pediment reads: Viúva Gomes.
